PM says Russia to spend 2.6 bln rbl to support employment

MOSCOW, Apr 2 (PRIME) -- The Russian government will spend 2.6 billion rubles on salary payment to maintain employment in the aviation, tourism, catering, fitness and sports, and supplementary education, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said on Thursday.

"We will compensate credit organizations falling revenue on the loans provided to small and medium businesses in the most affected industries on urgent needs from the budget funds,” Mishustin said.

“Firstly, to pay salaries, support and maintain employment in the airlines, tourism, exhibition business, the catering industry, fitness and sports, supplementary education and consumer services. We will spend 2.6 billion rubles on these purposes."

The official said he will sign an order approving the terms of federal subsidies on small and medium business loans.

"We have extended the possibility to restructure the earlier loans and have simplified the requirements for receipt of cut-rate loans to pay salaries to the employees,” he said.

“The affected companies will be able to postpone payments on the loans for half a year. The federal budget will undertake a third of interest payment. I will sign a corresponding government order stipulating the terms of federal subsidies on these goals."
